Motion blur is a simple feature that can dramatically improve an animation.
In real life, quickly moving objects do not appear perfectly sharp. Cameras capture a small amount of blur depending on movement and shutter settings.
After Effects can simulate this effect.
To enable motion blur, activate the motion blur switch for the layer and make sure motion blur is also enabled for the composition.
The effect is especially noticeable on objects moving quickly across the screen, rotating elements and animated text.
However, more blur is not always better. Excessive motion blur can make text difficult to read and reduce visual clarity.
Use it as a finishing tool rather than a way to hide poor animation. Good timing and easing should come first, with motion blur adding the final layer of realism.
